One of the first things you’ll notice about Curacao, especially in Willemstad, the capital, is the strong Dutch influence in the design and architecture of the buildings. The abundance of pastel buildings and red rooftops will remind you of the Netherlands, which is the point: Curacao is part of the Netherlands Kingdom.
